The City of Jacksonville will be seeking applicants for the position of police officer. Pre-employment registration cards will be available beginning March 1st and testing will be June 18, 2022. You may complete these online or at the Jacksonville Police Department, 200 West Douglas Avenue.
Lateral transfers are also being accepted at this time.

Benefits Starting Salary: $54,641.60 $62,753.60 after 1 year 13 Holidays Per Year Downstate Pension Health and Life Insurance Vacation and Sick Time 12-Hour Shift 100% Training, Uniform and Equipment Provided |
Qualifications
Must be between 21-34 Years of Age
US Citizen and/or an alien admitted for permanent residence High School Graduate or GED Valid Drivers License
No Felony Convictions
Morgan County Residency After 6 Months
Other Standards as Outlined in The Illinois Compiled Statues
